De-lamination Solution of Processing Laminated Glass With EVA Film

De-lamination:
1)- The heating temperature is not high enough or the heating time is not long enough for the EVA FILM to melt and react totally, so the cross link reaction is not finished.
For this reason, please increase the heating temperature or prolong heating time of laminating.
2) -The EVA FILM is out of the shelf life, most EVA FILM’s self life is about one year or longer. Please use the EVA FILM within the self life. Yes, different EVA FILM manufacturers may have different self life for the EVA Film.
4)-Maybe it’s the problem of the quality of the EVA FILM. Send some film samples back to the EVA FILM manufacturer to test the EVA FILM again.
5)-The moisture of the glass or EVA FILM before lamination is too much. EVA FILM are less sensitive to moisture, but if it’s too high, it will do harm to the adhesion of EVA FILM. Please dry glasses and store EVA FILM in good way.
6)-There is some organic substance on the surface of glasses. For example oily substance will also do harm to the adhesion of EVA FILM.
Please clean the glasses if necessary. You can use clean water, industrial alcohol, Acetone to clean the glasses.
7)-When laminated with the painting papers (like PP, PVC), the printing ink is too much and not being dried.
Please dry the printing papers first before laminating with glasses and EVA FILM.
8)-If you found the de-lamination is happening in the edges of the laminated glass, maybe the workers’ hand touch the edges of the glasses, and there are oily substance in the hand, which will do harm to the adhesion of the EVA FILM.
Please ask your worker to wear gloves. And maybe its summer, and your workers work very hard, and their hands are sweaty. And the sweat will do harm to the EVA FILM.
9)-If the de-lamination happens after installation in to buildings, please remember to check the glass sealant that you use. The glass sealant should the the neutral types.

EVA Film:
EVA stands for Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymer, a copolymer resin used in the production of laminated glass as the interlayer film sandwiched between two pieces of glass, like PVB Interlayer Film, and SGP Interlayer Film. The main function of the interlayer is to stick the two piece of glass together, in order to make the sandwiched glass safer and more secure.
EVA Film performs excellent in bonding strength, heat resistance, cold resistance, humidity resistance and tensile strength in laminated glass. It has been partly taking the places of PVB film in laminated safety glass, laminated art glass, and laminated color glass.
EVA film is not adhesive at room temperature. After heating, it melts and has cross-link reaction. In the production of laminated glass with EVA interlayer film, no autoclave, roller press, air bag, or vacuum rubber ring is required. As EVA interlayer Film can be processed under normal climatic conditions, no clean room with climatic control is required in PVB lamination. And the laminating machine line of laminated glass with EVA Film is less cost and easier to install. All laminating processing will be finished and completed in one vacuum laminator. EVA Film for laminated glass has excellent transparency, outstanding adhesion and aging-resistance (more than 15 years), can be used for architectural glass, decorative glass with fabric, privacy glass, auto glass etc.
